Welcome to Central Point Preparatory Academy—Home of the Sentinels! We look forward to opening our doors this August to provide a safe, secure learning environment for K-8 students in the Central Point, Franklinton & Hilltop neighborhoods of Columbus. We have big plans for meeting the needs of the Central Point community by providing a top-performing school of choice and other services to families.
We aim to provide a traditional, classical education with a Fine & Performing Arts focus. We believe that integration Arts instruction into all subject areas enriches the experience of learning and makes instruction memorable and relevant to each student.

Dr. Chris Geisler
Dr. Christopher Geisler, Principal
Dr. Chris Geisler joined Central Point Preparatory Academy as founding principal in 2020 with over 15 years of experience as a public, charter, and private K-12 educator and school administrator. Prior to joining ACCEL Schools, he worked as Principal at Renaissance Academy and as Department Head, Director & Teacher at Marburn Academy. Dr. Geisler also taught and directed music and vocal studies for Groveport-Madison School District. Dr. Geisler holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from The College of Saint Rose, two Master’s degrees in School Leadership from Concordia University and Music Education from Capital University, and a Ph.D. in Education from Capella University. Dr. Geisler additionally holds multiple certifications and licensures including State of Ohio Principal License, Teaching License, OTES Evaluator, and more.
Alexander Adams, Superintendent
Alexander Adams joined ACCEL Schools in 2015 as a school principal with over 10 years of experience as a K-12 educator. In 2018 he was promoted to Regional Vice President at ACCEL Schools and oversees leadership development, instructional programming, operations, and strategic planning for multiple schools in Central Ohio. Raised in public arts-focused K-12 schools, Mr. Adams has dedicated his life’s vocation to providing enriching education through integrating the fine and performing arts. Mr. Adams holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Education and Mathematics from The Ohio State University and a Master’s degree in Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Prior to joining ACCEL, Mr. Adams taught integrated science and STEM programming to students in middle and high school. He started his path in education during his tenure at the Battelle Memorial Institute, where he served as Grants Coordinator for the Education and Philanthropy division. In that role, he worked to provide STEM career paths with various educational partners, including the Ohio Department of Education, The Ohio State University, the Ohio STEM Learning Network, and the Center of Science and Industry (COSI).
Central Point Preparatory Academy is a public, community school. We are our own school district sponsored by St. Aloysius Orphanage. which provides oversight and enforces academic, fiscal, and legal accountability. We are managed by ACCEL Schools, a high performing network of over 50 charter schools located throughout the United States.
